Mr. William Gee is a Partner in the Risk Assurance (RA) practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers China, currently heads the Financial Services Group at RA Beijing. William is also a member of PwC’s C-SOX Task Force, a national role leading the research into the development of internal control assurance and advisory approach and standards for the firm in respond to the MOF’s Basic Standard of Enterprise Internal Control and related Guidance.
William has served on the Hong Kong XBRL Preparatory Working Group, as well as advisor to the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges in the development of their respective taxonomies. William participated in the development of the Chinese General Purpose Taxonomy led by the Ministry of Finance, and continue to advice the Securities and Banking regulators in future adoption of XBRL in China. He currently serves as a member of the National Accounting Informatisation Standardisation Technical Committee (SAC/TC524), and is the Chair of the XBRL Software Certification Technical Committee, as well as a member of the IFRS Taxonomy Consultative Group.
